New car pictures ....

Yes, we've gone and done it again ... another "new" car.  Of course, it's only because of the absence of certain 'alien' creatures that we could actually afford to get this car, but that's another whole story (and not one I intend to dwell on).  We are very happy that we could do this for Steven, since the kid actually has very little in his life to involve himself in at the moment.  Now, the major focus for the next year will be to get him through high school and get the GTO running.  I have no idea how all that will shake out but, for now, the kid is smiling and out of my face about the whole car situation (which allows me time to relax, slightly).  So, without further ado ...

Watch out for this license plate ... although I might be the driver ...

1994 Pontiac Trans Am GT ... our newest acquisition ...

I drove the car into Holly today and we took the "long and winding road" home.  What a blast!!  The thing handles like no other - takes 35 mph curves at 70+ with no trouble.  The acceleration isn't quite what it is in the GTO, but then again, we're talking a 350 cid versus a 400 cid.  So, with that said, the TA is a hoot to drive.  Especially with the T-tops out!  Yes, it looks like a fun summer of playing co-pilot to my novice-driver son ... hmmm, maybe that wasn't such a good idea after all?  Nah, the kid is as happy as can be, which in turn makes me a happy mom.  As Steven would say, "Hells YEAH!"
