I know, surveys and stuff are kinda lame ...

... but I can't help myself when I see one like this! Rather an amusing card in connection with how I view myself, but interesting nonetheless. Of course, it doesn't take the place of a real update, but with things changing so rapidly and all the crap I need to go through in the next two or three days, this will have to suffice. I have my colonoscopy on Friday ... for anyone who gives a damn, it's where they shove a camera all the way up your ass into your innards, take all sorts of LOVELY pictures, tissue samples and other equally GROSS things. I have dreaded this since my diagnosis last year, and I still dread it. It will not be pleasant, relaxing, nor will I enjoy the results, I'm afraid. I guess that's what my whole problem is .... I'm afraid. But I'm not supposed to be afraid, 'cause I have to be the freaking "Rock of Gibralter" for several other people. You know, "mom" always finds a way .... but I don't think "mom" is going to find a way out of this one as easily as she manages to w/kids. If anyone reads this, please wish me some luck - this time I really DO need it.

I am Strength

Strength represents patience and compassion. Getting angry is easy when events turn sour, but dealing calmly with frustration takes great strength. So does accepting others and forgiving mistakes. We need strength to mold situations softly. The Chariot controls through mastery and authority. Card 8 is more subtle, even loving. Notice how the lion (itself a symbol of strength) is being guided and tamed by the woman's gentle hands.
