Hmm, maybe that WASN'T such a good idea ...

From the chronicles of "Stupid Things To Do When Upset," comes this:

Note to self - DO NOT drive son to school after NOT sleeping ALL NIGHT while listening to The Offspring!!!! EVER AGAIN! That last 90 degree curve, sideways, in the Ram 1500, on the dirt road, was just a tad too scary for even MY taste. Especially with the swamp on either side of the road and no guardrails. Not the brightest move we've pulled all year, that's for damn sure!

SECOND note to self - Remember that listening to things like White Zombie, Mindless Self Indulgence, Rob Zombie, System Of A Down, The Offspring, Pantera, Godhead, old-school Korn, Bush, Silverchair, and Sponge get me so 'cranked' that I drive "funny." As in UNSAFE "funny," not HA HA "funny!"

LAST note to self - Try to remember that you are OLD, as in OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER, and set a better example for your kids (like that hysterical dude told me, when he thought I was following him too close on the icy back roads last year). You CERTAINLY don't want some other hysterical dude jumping out of his vehicle and yelling at you with your kids in the truck again! Not cool!!!!

Maybe if I look at these more often, I might stop risking life and limb when driving alone ... or is it really impossible to teach an OLD DOG new tricks?? We'll have to wait and see!

["A person may cause evil to others not only by his actions but by his inaction, and in either case he is justly accountable to them for the injury." - John Stuart Mill]

["It is often better not to see an insult than to avenge it." - Seneca]

["Never does the human soul appear so strong as when it foregoes revenge and dares to forgive an injury." - Edwin Hubbel Chapin]
